CT LOs for SIS using Cappuchino - The Kit by Stargazy Creations

What a great kit! lovely rich colours and some really unique elements! Grab it here!
I wanted to make the top photo of Antoinette a bit more edgy to highlight the fact she wasn't happy at having her photo taken! This made the colour of her hair a perfect match for one of the papers in the kit! Complete happy accident, LOL!
The splat of glitter in the kit was dense enough for me to use as photo mask, and make the photo of DN Meg a bit more like a sketch!
I loved playing with this kit and will use it a lot more I'm sure! Plus it was great to have different colours - browns seem quite unusual at this time of year!
TFL!

CT Los for Girlboheme Studios using Carolyn Louise

Don't forget you can get this fantastic kit at Divine Digital for just $2.50 - an absolute steal!
I'm all up-to-date with my CT work, so I had time to scrap just for me! I wanted to use Aimee's new kit again, as I loved the other 2 LOs I made with it! I REALLY enjoyed myself with this one!! There are LOADS of layers of sweet peas and lace in there to create the effect on the page!
I love all the textures and rich colours that Aimee puts in her kits - it makes my scrapping so much fun!

Secret Garden Creations Newsletter Template Challenge LO

In the latest Newsletter from SGC there was a freebie template and a challenge to scrap a page using Bobbie's stash...when I saw the template (which usually, being more a 1-photo-a-page-gal I wouldn't go near!!) I KNEW it was just perfect for this set of photos! Evie took these herself, pulling all her usual funny faces, and I love them!! I used SGC kit Exception, which is beautiful (just wish I could have got more of it on the page, LOL!), and really enjoyed myself making this LO!
Thanks for the challenge and the template!

CT Los for Moonchylde Creations using NEW Magic Dreams kit

A variety of LOs using this lovely new kit - get it HERE! It has a great, quite unusual colour scheme, which grabbed my attention straightaway when I saw it! Take a look at the kit, as the gorgeous greens and teals in here really lend themselves to some magical LOs!

CT LOs for Girlboheme Studios using new kit Carolyn Louise

Visit Divine Digital and grab Aimee's new kit NOW!! You can find it HERE! This kit was perfect for me as it came, having lots of varieties of pink, LOL, (there are some gorgeous greens and gold in there too!) but the textures in there are amazing, so any recolours you may want to do would look fantastic too! The flowery papers gave me a kinda sentimental feeling, so I wanted to do a couple of LOs for my DD2 and DN. They got all dressed up in pink, inc. hair decorations and make-up on New Year's Day and as it's pretty rare to see either of them in pink nowadays (being the ripe old ages of 7 & 10!), it was lovely to see!

JYC Day 37 - 6th January 2010 - ALL FINISHED!!

My last entry! Hopefully I've achieved a 'royal' look to the page to represent the 3 Kings/Wise Men! Now I must sort out getting all the pages printed, as I've LOVED doing JYC digi this year, and I really want the pages here in physical form to look at!
These last few pages took a while, as going back to work and then getting ill didn't help, but I'm back on form now!
Roll on next Advent when this can all start over again!!!!

UKS House Challenge - January 2010

I bought one of Julie's kits (AKA Bits N Bobs) from AMI (AND it was on sale, so a complete bargain, LOL!), and was so inspired by the contents that I had to use it this evening despite feeling lousy with this cold! So I set to work on the UKScrappers January House Challenge! It was to scrap any habit(s) that we want to change for this year, and to use one photo.
The photo is one of friends walking in the park. I extracted the people and then lowered the opacity to give the image more of a wish/thought/dream feel - it's there to symbolise the things I might have more time for if I spread my CT work out and work TO deadlines rather than way in advance of them!!!
The LO looks pretty simple but it has LOADS of elements in there, some only just on the edge of the page, some with reduced opacity, which I hope gives this page depth. This kit was SO fantastic to work with, I had a great time! I was pleased to be able to extract the arrangement of grasses/flowers/bird on the right side from the sheet of paper it was on so I cuold layer it above the journalling block! I'm so pleased with this LO, and no matter how it does in the challenge, it's fed my creative urges for today in the making, LOL!
In case you'd like to grab this fantastically wondefully gorgeous kit for yourself, here's a link!!
Kit used: Opposites Attract by Bits n Bobs, available at Artistic Minds Inc.

My First CT LOs for OpanaskoArt Designs using Joy of Snow kit!

You can grab this fantastic kit HERE! I also used 2 masks, which are available HERE! These items are even on sale at the moment, so they're a real bargain!!! The masks and papers are so beautiful, that, try as I might, I couldn't add many elements to the LOs, LOL, they just didn't need it! The elements in the kit are lovely; some really unique. There's even a matching alpha, QPs, snowflake brushes and WA available in the store as well!!
Family News: I just had to document our mad Saturday!! We were up early - the snow on the window woke me at 5.45am - and out before 8am! We got to the stables at 8.10am, but couldn't get the car up the lane because of the snow and ice! So we had to drive carefully next door but one to Reclament and beg to be allowed to park on their forecourt. They were very kind and said we could stay all day!
The wind was absolutely bitter there (NErly), and it took a while for Antoinette to get in Molly from the back field. Standing there with the freezing wind in our faces, we couldn't feel our chins after just a few minutes!!! Molly was very good though, and thankfully Antoinette managed to ride her before the 10am lesson started. So, we were able to leave earlier than expected so headed off for a BIG hot chocolate with cream at Wyevales!
We got home around 1.30pm, and settled in for the evening! It's still snowing now...we awit to see what happens tomorrow and if we'll be able to get to Church or the stables for Antoinette's lesson!

Exciting news!!

I came home today to find an email telling me I'd been accepted onto the CT for OpanaskoArt!! I used one of Oksana's kits while I was CTing at DPP - think it was actually the first kit I used!! - and loved her work! So I am very happy! The commitments aren't too great, so I think I'll cope just fine. I'm now getting to know Mr Google Translator though, as Oksana lives in the Ukraine, so I need to translate everying on the forum from Russian into English!!! Still, it's interesting though...may even have to ask Jo if she can speak a bit of Russian for me...if it's a language I could get my tongue around (never was any good at rolling my Rs!!!) I may have a stab at learning the language! Could be my self-improvement project for 2010!!!!

If you're interested, here's a link to Oksana's blog and store at Scrapbird.

JYC Day 34 - 3rd January

Here's my page for 3rd January - the prompt was about memories. I have so many individual memories they'd never fit on a page, lol, so made up this group of pics to sum it all up! The snow has made it extra special this year, although we didn't acually have any on Christmas Day!
I'll have to pop back later with the rest the credits as we're all snowed/iced in today - Dh and DD1 have their schools closed, and I told Dd2's school I wasn't driving on ice to take her in! So we're off to the park now to make a snowman or some such and for me to take some pics. Everyone is waiting for me, LOL - makes a change!!
(Background 'paper' is one of my photos - bokeh of the falling snow!)

JYC Day 33 (2nd January)

Today's prompt was about how we keep alive the innocence and good will of Christmastime. This amde me think of Evie. She's the youngest in the family and, at 7, Christmas is still magical for her! She declared at the start of Advent that she wanted Christmas to be special this year, and not just an ordinary day with presents! We made our Advent wreaths together (one for home, for for her classroom); she decorated the tree herself (I took photos!!), and she made loads of snowflakes for our windows, as well as a welcome sign for all visitors to read! I asked her if this Christmas had been more special and she said yes! But it's all thanks to her really! What a star!

CT Call for Rustic Charm Creations/Moonchylde Creations

Call Ends Jan 31st. All applicants will get a reply by Feb. 6th!
These are 2 lovely ladies to 'work' for, and they produce gorgeous kits, so get your applications in ASAP!!
Family News: As I haven't done this for ages, thought I'd just update the world, LOL! We have ice and snow still here in Margate! It's VERY unusual for it to hang around like this...and to keep coming as well! usually a couple of days is our limit nowadays! I've been out and about getting pictures - we walked for an hour and a half yesterday in Northdown Park, as Evie had an Inset day, so we had no footcare. I really enjoyed it!
Day 1 of the the healthy eating plan has gone well and today too so far!
The bad news is I think I have a cold coming, so am feeling a bit like I can't be bothered about anything now!
Must get on - am going out for lunch with mum and her cousin Janice. When I get back I've resolved to catch up as far as I can with JYC!
