OK, no kidding here, you really NEED to grab this kit from Aimee NOW!
Here's the link! It's not your run of the mill Christmas kit. There are such unique elements in there, and the papers well! We know I'm an utter paper addict, whether digi or real paper, LOL, but these are some of the most beautiful papers I've seen to date! The atmosphere and feeling that can be created on a page that is actually no more than pixels on a screen just amazes me!! And as you can see from the two papers I've used here, they could be used for any theme of LO, not restricted only to Christmas.
I was a bit puzzked at first when i saw the kit, as there is a broken chain - I used this is the 2nd LO. What's that about I thought!?! Then I googled the lyrics for O Holy Night (the name of the kit) when I was thinking of a title for the page. I discovered there are actually 2 ore verses atfer the one that's usually sung alone here in the UK. I never knew there were more verses! And the last verse mentions breaking chains! So, just as a public service, and so you can read these beautiful words too, here are the full set of lyrics!
O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
This made me realise just how much care and attention to detail Aimee puts into her kits. I always knew they are wonderful, but to get a flash of the creative process like this, is great! Thank you Aimee for having such high standards and producing such beautiful kits for us to work with! Especially at this time when you have so much going on, we wish you a blessed and peaceful Christmas with those you love.
