I was sitting here creating with the 9/11 service on the TV next to me, and this is what I produced from the feelings that inspired in me.

It's one of my simpler pieces, LOL, but there's more going on than meets the eye! It's an oil paint b/g blended with a paper, and duplicated with different blending modes. Then I blended a stock photo of a face onto an appropriately shaped part of the oil paint design.

Of course my camel is in there too to help me create my 'masterpiece'!

Now I know what this looks like to me, but if you prefer to see an angel that's fine too!! Basically, on this day of all, it seemed fitting to have a piece that encourages us all to go forward in a positive way... TFL!

Hummie's World - Scrapping Goals Challenge #13

Used a template for this challenge - to scrap a page using 4 photos! I so rarely do this, I needed a template, LOL!! I used photos of Antoinette with Donnie, Julia's horse, as they were so lovely!

Hummie's World, Scrapping Goals Challenge 11

The challenge was to create 2 frugal LO - with minimal use of kits! SO! The first I made my own b/g paper using brushes (Colourburned Grungyfilm (sorry have no receord where this came from)& Stitches: Stitch_by_boyingopaw (again not sure where this came from)). The photo is one of my OU photography Course pics!
The 2nd page I used Dawn inskip stash (tag/Love/staple) and blended the photo into a gradient b/g made by me, with some texture added! I then added paint daubs!
It was actually harder doing these frugal pages than having an enormous kit and trying to choose stash to cluster up, LOL! A good lesson!!

Hummie's World - Scrapping Goals Challenge 6 - 3rd LO!

I chose the Sgraffito challenge - to scratch away parts of the photo to show the paper underneath. I used a couple of brushes to 'scratch' away the pic, and love the effect!

Scrapbooking Goals Challenge #5 at Hummie's World

I had to choose a fave kit and make two pages. of course that's impossible (choosing!), so I went along with the idea that my newest purchase is my current favourite, LOL, so I used Dawn Inskip's That's Life kit - grab it while it's on sale at PickleberryPop!!

The top LO was inspired by Hummie - she posted that quote on her blog, and it just spoke to me so much...esp. at the moment with trying to sell the house and wondering where we will end up!

The 2nd is a photo from Easter Sunday and is very rare - mum and dad are both in it, and neither are pulling a funny face!!!

Great challenge!

LOs for Challenge #3 at Hummie's World

The challenge was to find 2 different members' LOs to scraplift, so I chose betteskeff and geswho40. I had a great time making these LOs!

I used kits from Dawn Inskip for both - the first I used Grace, and the second a mixture of Grace, Misty & Grandparents 101. I used some lovely grungy brushes from thesoulcanwait @ deviantArt, called Artist Board

I 'lifted 'I Love Music' by Dana Tatar - see her page here - and used a new kit from Secret Garden creations. It's a Collab. with Litabells Designs and is called Heartfelt.
