Art Journal Caravan - Page 47

Several thoughts behind this one...over the past months, and all the worry we've had with DD1's knee and operations, physio etc etc it's become evident that mostly people don't like to talk about that kinda stuff very much...they may ask how things are going but then the conversation quickly moves on! Plus, I think seeing the things that are happening both here and around the world has been quite shocking, and yet no many people are capable of talking about what is perceived as politics, although really is not! And especially at this time of year, nobody is supposed to talk about sad things that are happening in case it breaks into the happiness that it seems almost compulsory for everyone to feel!! Honestly, I'm not a bah humbug type, LOL, and I do love Christmas - just not for all the froth and materialism and commercialism! I also like a good conversation IRL about things that matter and it is becoming harder and harder to find people who want to bother!! Yet it seems to me that no matter how much people try to NOT talk about anything, it won't stop bad things happening all around them, and one day these things may well affect them directly. Hopefully not, but at least I've had some tiny preparation for what has happened with DD1 and the stable owners treating her the way they have by being the more serious kinda person I probably am! Hope that doesn't come across as too nasty...I just worry for some people close to me who tend to think and act as though if they don't talk about a problem, and try to ignore it, then it doesn't actually exist! Sadly that won't always work!!
TFL!
