LSNED - Day 3 - Keep Faith

My Day 3 page - if we end up not moving to our chosen house, which has a very large garden in comparison to the small one we have now, I don't know what I'll do with all the trees and bushes that I've either bought or been given!!!

Hummie's World, Course 2, Class 29 - Colour Blocking

Not something I ever liked as a paper scrapper, and hadn't bothered with in digi either. but now I have I actually like it! I thought it would limit possibilities, but that's not the case! Mind youl deciding which papers to use and where to place them made this take longer than I'd anticipated, LOL! But then I couldn't leave it alone and had to try different blending modes on each piece of paper in the template spaces, LOL, and add a couple of splotches for some variation in colour! Still, I'm pleased with the end result!

Hummie's World - Curved Template

Once I'd watched the video I had to have a play! I didn't want the more regular shape, so distorted it until I came up with something I could use!

Hummie's World - Couse 2 class 19 - OOBs!

LOVED doing this! Well, technically I got a bit bored doing the erasing, LOL, but thanks to a great tip from Hummie (one of those ones that if I'd really thought about the problem I shoulda/coulda come up with it myself, LOL, so a real AHA moment! Quickly followed by a D'UH moment!!) on getting rid of the teeny tiny edges that remain in a b/g colour when you've extracted a person/object, I got on with it quite fast! (I'm not going to tell you the tip- you have to subscribe to find out all this exciting stuff for yourself, LOL And at only $5.50 a month, it's a real bragain!!!). I'm really pleased with my OOBs photo, and I got to use my new yellow kit that I purchased with my gift token from DigiScrap Obsession (I won the template challenge at DigiScrapMap!! Yay!!!). I love this kit; it's really beautiful, with soft colours, and as it's so rare I use yellow, I was really pleased to use some of this kit!!

Creativity Boot Camp Day 5

Our prompt for today was 'grow'. I wanted to try and avoid flowery pics as there are so many fantastic shots in the Flickr group already, LOL, but then when I found this quote, I went with the photo that most matched my thoughts on that!
Brush used for stitches was Stitches_by_boyingopaw.

Hummie's World, Scrapping Goals Challenge 11

The challenge was to create 2 frugal LO - with minimal use of kits! SO! The first I made my own b/g paper using brushes (Colourburned Grungyfilm (sorry have no receord where this came from)& Stitches: Stitch_by_boyingopaw (again not sure where this came from)). The photo is one of my OU photography Course pics!
The 2nd page I used Dawn inskip stash (tag/Love/staple) and blended the photo into a gradient b/g made by me, with some texture added! I then added paint daubs!
It was actually harder doing these frugal pages than having an enormous kit and trying to choose stash to cluster up, LOL! A good lesson!!

Hummie's World, Course 2 Class 9 - Brushes

I LURVE brushes, so really enjoyed myself with this!!
I used a border brush on the photo (border brushes for photoshop by pyocola_sama) and a floral brush on the b/g paper (Dance of the Flower brushes by sleepwalkerfish), and made my own brush from text for the title (Font: VT Portable Remington). Stash used was Secret Garden Creations' Morning Song Mini Kit availale at Funky Playground Designs and Improvisations - seeing spots (sorry, not sure where this came from, but the kit is lovely!)
The flowers we bought in advance of last w/e are still going strong - most unusual for me, LOL!!
